Hello!
My name is Laura, welcome to my creative corner!

Since I was a child, I've been captivated by the magic of bringing ideas to life through arts and crafts. Painting, sewing, crocheting, pottery... Creativity has always been my true passion. There's something incredibly fulfilling about feeling the real world in my hands and watching new creations come to life.
The Gold Needle is here to be your go-to destination for all things crafty, every item is uniquely designed to add a touch of creativity, warmth, and functionality to your life.

Every piece I create is made with passion and a commitment that each item not just a product, but a piece of art. I am proud small business owner and I believe in making things to last. Also, whenever possible I use locally sourced materials to ensure sustainability and support my local community.

I hope my creations bring as much passion to your life as they do mine! Without you The Gold Needle would not be possible, so thank you for your support!
Why The Gold Needle?
My grandma, Carmen, was a seamstress – the very best one at that, never mind my loving bias. I grew up with her making clothes for me, my mom, my sister, my cousins, pretty much the entire family, really. She had amazing talent, the kind of talent that would have set her apart as a visionary if circumstances would have been a little different.

She started working when she was extremely young at a shoe factory near her village, there she learnt pattern making, and from then on she became a hardworking seamstress that was well known wherever she went for her beautiful clothes, her skill, her professionally finished clothes, and unparalleled work ethic. So much so that her nick name became the gold needle – "agujita de oro."

My grandma taught me how to sew. I remember her showing me how to thread a needle, her voice constantly reminding me to use my thimble, spending hours in front of the sewing machine sewing lines until I could do them straight with no effort, cutting the patterns for the clothes we were going to get made. She also taught mer to be creative, to work hard, and to pursue the things that mattered to me.

The Gold Needle is my passion project, it's an homage to her, to all that she taught me, to all that we did together. Her love and her artistry live in me. Every stitch, every paint stroke, all that I make has a little bit of her: of her shinning golden greatness.
