The Gold Needle was born to honor my grandma's memory and all that she taught me. Here you will find calendars, planners, bookmarks, blankets, cushions, coasters, baskets, baby books, and much more!
What I'm working on right now
Temperature Blanket
The temperature blanket is a one-year-long project. It started in August 2023 and will finish in August 2024.
The notion of this project is to assign different yarn colors to pre-established temperature brackets, then you track the daily temperature of every day for a year and change the color as shown on your already made yarn thermometer.
I decided to embark on this as a way of recording the first year of my husband and I's marriage. When tracking the temperature I have chosen the average value for the day.
It will be a lasting and beautiful memory of our life together, it's being quite special to see the colors change as the months pass and remember experiencing each of them together.

Place Mats
The intricate and time-consuming placemats have been a true test of my skills as a crocheter. As an artist I love to combine different techniques to make all products stand out and be unique. These placemats are a mixture of macrame and crocheting. I use macramé 3mm cord and then crochet it into a beautiful pattern.
For this project I am working on a set of 12 placemats. My goal is to be able to offer them regularly on sets of 4, 6, and 8.
Right now I have started with my favorite color: natural tan cord. But as the project advances I will be including different color options and different color combinations too.

Tote Bags
Tote bags are the perfect gift, they're trendy right now, they can be customized and personalized, and they are incredibly useful. Functionality in creative designs is one of my main goals.
For this project I am working on twenty five personalized tote bags for a networking event held in late September. The order was placed by two investment and financial creators that were looking for something to gift the event attendees.
I am currently working on a custom design that combines a unique beautiful image that captures the essence of the event and the name of the event which has been provided by the organizers.
